Let it SNOW!

A week ago, we got a decent dusting of the white stuff and my kids could not have been more excited. It was brief and all melted the next day but for a while, it was really coming down with big fluffy snowflakes. Betty was skeptical and we stayed bundled in the garage, but Ella & Henry were out on the drive way playing! I know the winter is LONG, but with the holidays approaching and the excitement that it brings to a 3 and 5 year old... I say, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Look at this JOY!

Trick or Treat

The kids had a ball trick or treating this year. Between a Halloween playdate and trick or treating in our old neighborhood...Ella seemed so grown-up with her good manners at the door (and the chaos of running in between places) and then Henry ran the entire way with his arms out in front of him and his bag open and ready to receive candy at any moment. Betty was the cutest little owl just hanging out the whole time watching the madness. So cute.

Happy Birthday Henry

Our boy turned 3 just before Halloween and had the birthday of his dreams with an evening at Chuck E. Cheese and a dinosaur cake (that's all he said he wanted!) It was a really fun night that kicked off the weekend of craziness including a Halloween playdate and trick or treating. At his party, Henry had one bite of pizza and two helping of icing off the cake. He was in Heaven! Needless to say, he's ready for another birthday and talks about his next birthday every other day... still. I guess that means that he had a fantastic birthday!

Sneak Peak... Trick or Treat

We went Trick or Treating at our local Zoo on Friday night. The kids had a great time and couldn't believe all the candy they received! It's just a preview for next weekend. They looked super cute and lots of people commented on their outfits (only Ella and Henry dressed up for this.) Betty will be dressed up on Halloween... awaiting the arrival of the rest of her costume.

The Park

We went out to Rum Village Nature Park last weekend to take a bunch of pictures of the kids and us just playing in the fall leaves. We had a ton of fun... playground, picnic and lots of running around.

I can't believe it...

Ella declared this morning that she's going to marry Justin Bieber!

When did my almost 5 year old turn into a pre-teen boy-crazy girl??? Well, I'm not going to go so far as to say she really is boy-crazy (yet) as I'm not sure she really knows what it meant, but Phil almost had a heart attack when she said this, so now she won't stop saying it. Oh gosh... she's now 4 going on 14!

Camping...this time of year???

Yes - but inside... Phil slept overnight with the kids in a tent in our living room. It was SO much fun without the worry of bathrooms, bugs or frost! The kids were besides themselves excited and Mommy had to come downstairs only once to tell everyone it was time to be quiet and go to sleep. The kids had a blast... man, they have the best Dad ever.

A day of FIRSTS!

Last Saturday was a big day for Miss Betty. She tried baby rice cereal for the first time and seemed to like it OK. She went to her first true tailgate at ND (thanks Nick & Anna) and she actually started to JUMP in her jumparoo (exercise toy.) She's been hanging out in it for over a month but had yet to 'jump.' I can't believe she's 6 months this week (today!!!)... where is time going? She's such a joy and we are just still head of heels crazy about her. Love that girl!

GranDad's visit

Our friend Sarah Noto slept over back in August after her new baby sister, Emily, was born (giving Mom and Dad the evening off!)

GranDad's Visit Part 1

Sports...

This summer Ella tried a British soccer camp and she's been taking tennis for a few months now. She continues to improve and seems to have fun. It'll be exciting to see what she actually sticks with after trying so many activities. She does look pretty cute though in each sport's gear!

As for Henry, that kid can't get into sports fast enough! Most classes start at age 3 so for now, he's just trying to get in the game whenever he can!
